On Wednesday, Notre Dame received a commitment from New Lenox, Illinois Wide Receiver Miles Boykin. Boykin represents the 3rd Wide Receiver commitment in the 2015 class. The Irish also received verbals from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame High School Wide Receiver C.J. Sanders and Allen High School Wide Receiver Jalen Guyton.
This group of Wide Receivers is complementary. Boykin could play the “W” Wide Receiver position similar to DaVaris Daniels and Michael Floyd. He is ideally suited to play this position because of his great physical size at 6’4″ 225. Sanders will be ideally suited for the “Z” position. Guyton could play “X” position that was recently occupied by T.J. Jones.
Boykin plays for Providence Catholic High School. 247Sports rates him as the 34th best Wide Receiver in the 2015 class. Rivals favors Boykin a little more than 247Sports. Rivals ranks him as the 10th best Wide Receiver and the 116th best overall player in the country. Boykin held offers from Arizona State, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, NC State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Toledo, Virginia Tech, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.
Notre Dame moved into 7th place in the team rankings for the 2015 class. Notre Dame has 17 commitments total in this class.
