Notre Dame Football Recruiting: John Humphrey Names Irish in Top 2

Despite hold commitments from three Wide Receivers in the Class of 2015, Notre Dame is still pursuing several Wide Receivers including Clear Falls High School product John Humphrey. Humphrey recently de-committed from Baylor.

Humphrey hails from League City, Texas. He checks in at 5’10″, 165 lbs. Humphrey claims a 4.50 40-yard dash. He holds offers from 16 FBS schools including Arkansas, Boston College, California, Colorado, Kansas State, Louisville, Oregon State, and Texas Tech among others. Humphrey could also play Cornerback in college. He can also assist as a returner.

Humphrey originally committed to Baylor on April 15th. He then de-committed on June 23rd.

The Clear Falls product has never visited Notre Dame. However, he clearly likes the Fighting Irish quite a bit. Experts currently believe Humphrey will select the Sooners.

Will Notre Dame take another Wide Receiver? The Irish hold commitments from CJ Sanders, Jalen Guyton and Miles Boykin. Notre Dame has more pressing needs right now. The Irish need Defensive Ends and Linebackers.
