When speaking about Bryant, there hasn’t been a recruit who fans canonized before they put on an Irish jersey since Jimmy Clausen hopped out of that stretch Hummer. A knee injury sidelined Bryant for his freshman season after only three carries for 14 yards. This allowed fellow freshman Tarean Folston to breakout and be the presumed number one running back on the depth chart.  Could Bryant step up and become the Irish’s number RB?  If this years Blue and Gold game is any indicator, that answer is a yes. Hopefully it won’ take long for the Bryant-Folston-Golson trio to be hitting on all cylinders. I am creating the nickname now: BFG.  Someone get Mike Mayock on the phone and give him the heads up.
