14 weeks ago, Slap the Sign published the first recruiting “Big Board” for the 2016 class. Since then, Notre Dame landed its top prospect, Liam Eichenberg, Lokeni Toailoa committed to UCLA and the recruiting picture became more clear. Over the summer months, several prospects will make announcement including Austin Mack, Auston Roberston and Josh King. Therefore, when Slap the Sign rolls out the 3.0 board, it will look very different.

Offensive Line prospect Ben Bredeson moves into the top slot in this version of the “Big Board”. Notre Dame is currently battling Wisconsin for his services. If the Irish manage to land Bredeson, it will represent the best Offensive Line haul in the 2016 class.

Josh King is slated to make his announcement on June 6th. Notre Dame currently trails Michigan State and possibly others as the decision date looms. The Irish Coaching Staff only has a few days left to convince the Defensive End to play in South Bend.

Fort Wayne products Auston Robertson and Austin Mack will also make their college decisions in early June. Robertson and Mack will announce their choices at the RAS camp on June 7th. Like King, both players appeared to be headed elsewhere. Robertson appears likely to select Michigan State and Mack seems poised to pick the Buckeyes.

4-star Wide Receiver Javon McKinley is a new addition to the board. He visited Notre Dame on April 25th with his 7-on-7 teammates. McKinley will return to South Bend on October 17th to officially visit the Irish when they battle the USC Trojans. Notre Dame is a real contender for McKinley.

Jordan Fuller, brother of former UCLA Wide Receiver Devin Fuller, is another newcomer to the board. Fuller is listed as an athlete but the Irish Coaching Staff is looking at him as a Defensive Back.

Daelin Hayes (USC commit), Donnie Corley, Cary Angeline and Woody Barrett round out of the remaining players in the Top 10. Of these players, Notre Dame is closest to landing Tight End Cary Angeline from Exton, Pennsylvania.

The Fighting Irish are not a slam dunk to land any of the players on the “Big Board” currently. However, anything can (and usually does) change in Notre Dame football recruiting.
