3-star OLB Jamir Jones Selects Irish

Notre Dame is all-in-the-family. Nick Martin played with older brother Zack along the Offensive Line. Current 2016 recruit and Defensive End Julian Okwara will follow in the footsteps of brother Romeo.

Add to that list brothers Jamir and Jarron Jones.

Jarron’s younger brother is definitely the little brother. Jamir Jones measures 6’3″ and weighs 220 lbs. Jarron Jones checks in at 6’6″ and 315 lbs.

Jones holds offers from Boston College, Buffalo, UCONN, UMASS, Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Syracuse.

Jamir Jones has a lot to prove during his Senior year. His offer list and recruiting rankings leave a lot to be desired. However, he definitely has the bloodlines.

Could this something else be at play here? If Jarron Jones plays well in 2015, he can graduate and leave for the NFL. Having his brother on the team in 2016 may persuade him to stay for a 5th-year.

Notre Dame’s commit list now consists of Running Back Tony Jones Jr., Long Snapper John Shannon, Offensive Tackle Liam Eichenberg, Offensive Tackle Tommy Kraemer, Athlete Jalen Elliot, Cornerback Julian Love, Defensive End Julian Okwara and Wide Receiver Kevin Stepherson.

247Sports ranks the 2016 Notre Dame class as the 28th in the country.
