Notre Dame Football has many “rivalry” trophies from sticks to glass to cheer items.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a tremendous amount to play for as they prepare for the last game of the season against the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto. There is no more important thing than trying to secure a top 4 ranking with the college football playoff committee. Notre Dame will have to not only win, but make a statement in doing so if they want a chance to play for the National Championship Trophy.

Trophies. They are all over college football, and now that “Rivalry Weekend” has arrived, fans will get their annual dose of knowledge bombs about the many pieces of hardware that exchange hands. Notre Dame is no different. They too play for these rivalry trophies, albeit in a quieter manner (the University of Notre Dame has his historically played down the trophies).

However, with the hire of Brian Kelly as head coach, as well as the critical mass of social media, Notre Dame’s rivalry trophies are becoming better known throughout the fanbase.

Let’s dive a little deeper into the rivalry trophy pool.
