Notre Dame football will look to Brandon Wimbush to be their starting quarterback in 2017, but fans are still anxious to know where transfer QB, Malik Zaire, is going to end up.

Recruiting : Notre Dame's Hot 5 Big Board

After deciding to transfer from the University of Notre Dame following last season, the senior quarterback is looking for a new home to finish off his college career. But the former Music City Bowl champion has been deciding on schools for three months now and is still leaving fans uncertain as to where he’ll end up.

In a poll run by @SlaptheSign in December of 2016, Notre Dame football fans voted on where they’d like to see the former Irish passer. The results showed that Irish fans wanted their former quarterback to play in Wisconsin over North Carolina.

At the time, it seemed that Zaire had narrowed his choices down quickly and would come to a decision before the new year. But here we are, March of 2017 and the college football free agent is still deciding what school is right for him.

For Notre Dame fans, whether Zaire will be in blue and gold or not we all still wonder where he’ll be next season. With North Carolina on Notre Dame’s schedule next season, some may not want Zaire dressing in the Carolina blue in 2017. But if the Irish are looking College Football Playoff run, Wisconsin may be a team they run into. Either way, these two aren’t Notre Dame-friendly decisions for Zaire.

According to Brad Shepard of Bleacher Report, Zaire’s top two choices are Florida and UNC, but Wisconsin continues to linger. For Irish fans, Florida is where we want Zaire. They may have a better team than the Tar Heels, but they don’t look to be College Football Playoff ready just yet and don’t have to play Notre Dame in 2017; The perfect combination for us Irish fans.

Zaire isn’t going to make his decision until mid-April, though. The highly touted passer has a lot to run through his head and with one shot left to make his mark in college football, he’s making sure his decision is perfect.

At this point, everyone is slowly forgetting that Zaire hasn’t made his decision yet. That doesn’t mean Notre Dame isn’t concerned about where their former QB ends up. Right now, though, everyone just wants to know if Zaire is ever going to make his decision. Mid-April is a long ways away for Notre Dame fans to wait.
