Quinn Carroll may have awhile before he graduates in 2019, but already he’s considered one of the top offensive linemen in the country. At 6’6, 280-pounds, Carroll may be the scariest high school sophomores out there.

Well, yesterday, Notre Dame made him an offer. For someone with his talent, this should’ve been done awhile ago, but nevertheless it happened. As the nation’s 18th ranked offensive tackles according to 247, Carroll adds Notre Dame to the list of his 28 total offers.

With teams like Alabama, Penn State, Arizona State, and now Notre Dame to choose from, Carroll has a lot to think about over the next year and a half. For the Irish, they need to use this time to make sure they land the four-star tackle, before they miss out on something special.

Carroll is a must-get for Notre Dame. He’s one of the hardest working, humble, and truly talented players in his recruiting class. With two years to improve, he’ll be one of the top players in his class coming out of high school.

It’s hard to image getting any bigger than 6’6, 280-pounds, but for someone who has time to continue bulking, Carroll could be one of the biggest linemen of 2019. By the time he’s ready to play in college, he’ll easily be looking at 300-pounds and could still be one of the most athletic linemen out there. For a kid who’s only a sophomore, that’s scary to think about.

He’ll come to South Bend already looking to play. With the talent he has, he’ll immediately compete for the starting job, and could easily find himself winning it. If the Fighting Irish want to continue the insane recruiting trail they’ve been on recently, Carroll needs to be top priority.

There’s a long way to go before Carroll picks his school. Notre Dame may be the newest addition, but they need to be the strongest pursuit.

Carroll has to come to Notre Dame. He’s arguably the best offensive linemen out there. If Brian Kelly wants to turn this team around for the long run, Carroll needs to be a part of the plan.
