First off, I’d like to thank you for your support and loyalty as we continue to grow as a website. My Staff and I have put a lot of effort to bring you the best news, analysis, and opinions on all things Notre Dame and NCAA sports.

Like all workers, we need a break. I am no expection to this. As of Saturday, May 26th, I will be taking a one week vacation at the beach. My staff writers will be posting as much as they can and breaking any important stories as they happen.

I expect to be back writing on Sunday June 3rd and I hope that you stay logged onto Slap the Sign.

]]> Last weekend, Notre Dame had a few high school juniors up for the recruiting day. One of them was David Robinson’s (a former NBA player) son. Corey Robinson loved his trip so much that he committed verbally to Notre Dame.

Corey Robinson is a three-star prospect and Notre Dame’s ninth commitment in the Class of 2013. He is a tall receiver who could be a huge threat in the endzone.

“There was something about it. I can’t explain it,” Corey Robinson told Irish Illustrated. “Me and my dad and my mom, we were just praying about it. We just felt that the Lord gave us a lot of peace when we went on that campus, peace about Notre Dame. I did not see a reason to wait if I had that peace about it.” -Chicago Tribune

Was this one ever close? Seton Hall put a dent in Providence’s season by ending it on a sour note. Providence lost 79-47, in what was a bad game to watch (if you’re a Friar fan at least).

 

Jordan Theodore showed some great talent at the guard position. He accounted for 13 assists and also had 13 points, making his game complete. The 10-0 run led by Theodore was was put this game to rest. A great win for the Pirates, but their road may end when they play Louisville tomorrow at 7pm ET.
