Notre Dame hasn’t had the start of the season they expected. However, they have played teams that are no joke. Three out of the four teams they have played have been ranked sometime or another this season. They have came out of it even 2-2. Should be they ranked in the top 25 for their efforts?

Yes, they should be. Compared to other teams across the country, they have one of the toughest opening four weeks in the country. The only other team who has a stand out schedule is LSU. Other than that, no one can say they have

played teams from BCS conferences every week.

I don’t think Notre Dame should be ranked high. My guess would be around 24th. No other team has a harder schedule. I have no doubt that if ND wins next week, then they will be ranked.

Notre Dame squares off against Michigan State in South Bend on Saturday afternoon. The Irish will be coming out fired up as this is a must win for them. Our offensive power is the reason why Michigan State is on upset alert.

Notre Dame has an offense that can put 40 points on the board if they eliminate the turnovers. Ranked 10th in the nation in passing yards, Notre Dame has the ability to stay with most teams in the country. Brian Kelly has to be emphasizing the turnovers this week so look for that to calm down. Big offenses perform in big games, Notre Dame has the capability to do it this week against MSU.

Another thing to remember is that these losses were against tough opponents. Michigan State has played Youngstown State and Florida Atlantic so far. Clearly this is the first big test for them so we will how they come out against a good team.

ND will try to avoid the first 0-3 start since 2007. Let’s hope the boys are ready for a battle.

It was a good run, but the “Play Like A Champion Today” tradition fell just a little short today. Florida State (yet again basketball fans) defeated us with ease, which ended Notre Dame’s chance at the finals.

Florida State had a jaw dropping 80% of the fans votes, leaving only 20% for us. It is not the way you want to lose, but it’s not like it was an actual game. It was a fan voted tournament which the winner (the school) was given free copies of NCAA FOOTBALL 12 by EA Sports.

Also, even though our tradition is very historic, I do enjoy Florida State’s. The Indian slamming the arrow on the ground with 90,000 plus fans going crazy gives me goose bumps. It’s not a place I would want to play as an away team. So, congratulations FSU and good luck in the finals.
