No 2pm (est) games this season for Irish

Notre Dame is almost always on national television. Espically since they are broadcasted on NBC for their home games. For these home games, some are susually at 2pm (eastern time). An unusal time for a game, since most other games are at 12:00, 3;30 or 8pm eastern time. But, when I take a took at the schedule, I do not see any games listed at 2pm (eastern time).

I have not found any information as to why this has happened. And its not a particualry corncering move. I don’t care when the game is, as long as I get to see the Irish play. I am assuming that its either bacause NBC wants to compete with other networks and they want it at 3:30 or Notre Dame wants to play when most other games are played. Either way, our home games will still be on national tv. So well still get to see Notre Dame take the field.

Like I said before, not a overly concerning change, but one we here at SlapTheSign found interesting.

Notre Dame and NBC, do you like it?

Every home game since 1991 has been played on the NBC channel. It has had great bennifits for the school. But, are there negative sides to it?

Notre Dame and NBC means all of our home games are garunteed to be seen across the country. It is good for fans who don’t live in Indiana. It is also great becuase it attracts attention for new fans. Also for the people who have “nothing else to watch” can watch our team play their hearts out.

I can only see one problem that others may think. It is an easy way for upsets against us to be seen around the country. (I don’t think it matters but I’m just saying what others think). People are afraid that we will be humiliated in front of everyone in the nation.

My opinion? I love the NBC partnership we have. I think the whole world should see the beautiful campus and our historic team take the field. I am not afraid of the soptlight we put ourselves in. I believe can compete with the best and that should be seen on national TV.
