Ladies and gentlemen, this week’s game against Michigan has

the potential to be a make or break BCS chance. To make the game even more intense than it already is not only will be it be the first night game ever at the Big House, it will be Tommy Rees under center, at least to start out.

Tommy will be starting over quarterback Dayne Crist, who might have been pulled out of the game earlier then he should have. But, Rees stepped up when he was called upon and proved himself worthy yet again. not only does he have the 296 yard passing and the 2 touchdown throws, he has last years 4-0 record as a starter. This made it an obvious choice for head coach Brian Kelly.

The only down side to this move was the team chemistry in the locker room was with Dayne Crist. Dayne was well respected by the players, and now that he is a number two they’ll have to restart their season with Tommy as their number one. So far, I’d say they were responding well and their might not be any sort of downside.

Either way, the players be better ready to fight this weekend. A game you can’t miss!

The Assoiciated Press has reported that Coach Brian Kelly has his hands full. The quarterback job is split neck-and-neck between Tommy Rees and Dayne Crist.

Here’s what Coach Kelly said on the whole situation:

“It’s very, very competitive between Dayne and Tommy. Too close to call at this point.”

“They both have done very good things. So right now I would say they are neck-and-neck.”

Tommy Rees played in most of the first team reps on Saturday. So here’s Coach Kelly’s reasoning as to why he switched Dayne’s and Tommy’s’ role:

“Dayne has been getting most of the first-team reps, so we wanted to be able to give a balanced evaluation.”

This has certainly added a new twist to the ongoing quarterback situation in South Bend, Ind.
The fourth possible starting quarterback for the Irish is Everett Golson. Golson is freshmen from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Let’s take a look at this kid.

What makes him special? He has an outstanding touchdown to interception ratio. It might be just high school football, but he has talent that can take him to the next level. Golson stands out because of the things he accomplished during his high school career. Not many people can say that.

Chances of him being the Starter? I don’t think he will be anything higher than a 3rd string. He is most certainly a future starter (unless he becomes a bust), but I think it is between Dayne Crist and Tommy Rees. Expect great things from this kid in the years to come.
