Irish to play at Michigan State under the lights
By Editorial Staff
On Tuesday, Michigan State announced that they will be playing 2 teams at their home stadium under the lights next season. One of the teams will be Notre Dame, which will be played at 8pm ET on ABC.
The other team playing at Spartan Stadium at night will be Boise State on August 31st.That game, which will begin around 8pm ET, also will be play shown on ESPN.
The rivalry-game between ND and MSU will be on September 15th. It is one of the primetime games aired weekly on ABC. I expect both teams to be ranked (at least that’s my thoughts as of now), so this event should receive national attention and hopefully ESPN’s GameDay crew will be on sight.
"“You would be hard-pressed to find a more challenging home schedule than the one we’ll face this fall. Six of the seven home games will be played against bowl teams from last season.“We’re excited about the prime-time match-up against Boise State in the season opener. The Michigan State-Notre Dame rivalry is special, and those games routinely go down to the wire.“The Spartan Stadium atmosphere is electric for night games, and recently, we’ve had some incredible finishes.” –MSU head coach Mark Dantonio said in an article in MSU’s Offficial Athletic Site"
The Irish lead the all-time series 46-28-1; however, the Spartans have won 10 of the last 15 meetings. Nine of the last 12 games in the series have been decided by seven points or less. Michigan State is 2-2 in home night games against Notre Dame.

What are your thoughts on this primetime game? Is this going to be yet another classic/ close game between the 2 teams?
