Here is a recap of how Notre Dame’s opponents fared this weekend:

Navy Midshipmen (3-3)-The Midshipmen defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas on Friday night, 31-13. Navy rushed for 238 yards on 62 carries. Keenan Reynolds started in place of the injured Trey Miller. Reynolds threw for three touchdowns in his start. Navy faces Indiana next.

Purdue Boilermakers (3-3)-Wisconsin routed the Boilermakers, 38-14, in a record setting game for Montee Ball. Purdue was held to 252 yards on Offense by a stout Badger defense. The Boilermakers continued their trend of using multiple Quarterbacks. TerBush, Marve and Henry all saw action. The Boilermakers take on the Buckeyes next Saturday.

Michigan State Spartans (4-3)-The Spartans dropped their third game this weekend to the Iowa Hawkeyes, 19-16, in double overtime. Spartan Quarterback Andrew Maxwell had a subpar performance going 12 of 31 for 179 yards and 1 interception. Standout La’Veon Bell ran for 140 yards on 28 carries and 1 touchdown.The Spartans take on rival Michigan next.

Michigan Wolverines (4-2)-The Wolverines routed the Fighting Illini, 45-0, on Saturday. Denard Robinson had 287 total yards on Offense. He added 4 touchdowns. The Wolverines Offense had 353 yards rushing.

Miami Hurricanes (4-3)-The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Miami Hurricanes, 18-14. Stephon Morris was held to 155 yards on 12 of 26 passing. Morris left the game with 8:26 remaining. Ryan Williams entered the game for injured Miami Quarterback. The Hurricanes play rival Florida State next.

BYU Cougars (4-3)-The Cougars dropped their third game to the Oregon State Beavers, 42-24. Riley Nelson, in his first game back from injury, was 28 of 51 for 305 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. Nelson added 24 yards on the ground. Brigham Young had 386 yards on the Offense.

Oklahoma Sooners (4-1)-The Sooners routed the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry, 63-21. Senior Quarterback Landry Jones threw for 321 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Damien Williams had 22 carries on 167 yards. Oklahoma amassed 677 yards on Offense. Bob Stoops and the Sooners take on Charlie Weis and the Kansas Jayhawks on October 20th.

Pittsburgh Panthers (2-4)-The Panthers fell by 10 points to the Louisville Cardinals. Freshmen Running Back Rushel Shell rushed for 96 yards on 18 carries. Tino Sunseri went 28 of 37 for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Panthers totaled 380 yards on Offense. Pittsburgh plays Buffalo in their next game.

Boston College Eagles (1-5)-Boston College was dominated by the Florida State Seminoles, 51-7. The Florida State Offense amassed 649 total yards. The Eagles were held to 225 yards on Offense. Quarterback Chase Rettig went 15 of 31 for 122 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Boston College takes on Georgia Tech in Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons (3-3)-Wake Forest had a bye week this weekend. The Demon Deacons face the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday.

USC Trojans (5-1)-The Trojans defeated the Washington Huskies 24-14 in Seattle on Saturday. Senior Quarterback Matt Barkley went 10 of 20 for 167 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Penn State Transfer Silas Reid had 155 yards on 26 carries. The Trojans play host to Pac 12 member Colorado on October 20th.

The Fighting Irish opponents currently hold a 37-31 record or .544 winning percentage in their respective games.
