Notre Dame needs its opponents to perform well over the next few week to help them out in the computer polls. Here is how the Fighting Irish opponents fared this week:

Navy Midshipmen (5-3)-The Navy Midshipmen defeated the East Carolina Pirates, 56-28. Senior Gee Gee Greene ran for 131 yards on 14 carries. The Midshipmen amassed 512 yards rushing against a helpless Pirates defense.

Purdue Boilermakers (3-5)-The Boilermakers dropped their 5th game of the year against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 44-28. This game came on the heels of a devastating loss to Ohio State in overtime. Robert Marve led all Purdue Quarterbacks led in passing with 97 yards.

Michigan State Spartans (5-4)-The Spartans defeated the Wisconsin Badgers in overtime, 16-13. Quarterback Andrew Maxwell threw for 216 yards on 24 of 39 passing. La’Veon Bell rushed for 77 yards on 21 carries. The Spartan Defense held Wisconsin to 190 yards on Offense.

Michigan Wolverines (5-3)-The Wolverines fell to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday night. Denard Robinson left the game in the 2nd Quarter with an elbow injury. Russell Bellomy went 3 for 16 in relief of Denard Robinson. Bellomy also threw three interceptions.

Miami Hurricanes (4-4)-The Miami Hurricanes did not have a game this weekend. They play Virginia Tech on Thursday night.

Brigham Young (5-4)-The BYU Cougars crushed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 41-17. BYU held the Yellow Jackets to 157 total yards. Quarterback Riley Nelson passed for 204 yards on 19 completions of 28 attempts. Freshman Running Back Williams ran for 107 yards on 28 carries.

Pittsburgh Panthers (4-4)-The Pitt Panthers defeated the Temple Owls, 47-17. Ray Graham rushed for 1o9 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tino Sunseri threw for 321 yards on 20 of 28 passing. The Panthers amassed 528 yards on Offense.

Boston College Eagles (2-6)-The Eagles defeated the Maryland Terrapins, 20-17. Boston College Quarterback Chase Rettig threw for 287 yards on 21 of 39 passing. Boston College capitalized on three Maryland interceptions in their victory.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-4)-Wake Forest was defeated by the Clemson Tigers by the score of 42-13. Quarterback Tanner Price threw the ball 44 times while completing 27 of them. Price amassed 232 yards passing for the Deacons in their loss.

USC Trojans (5-2)-The Trojans were upset by the Arizona Wildcats, 39-36. Marques Lee shattered records with 16 receptions for 345 yards and 2 touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Barkley threw for 439 yards on 31 of 49 passing. The Trojans committed 5 turnovers.
