No. 1–Jaylon Smith, Bishop Luers HS, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Smith is a consensus 5-star recruit by all recruiting services. He possesses great agility, pass coverage skills and speed. For an Outside Linebacker, he will need to work on his strength and size. Smith will see the field as a Freshman but in what capacity. Smith has the talent to start every game of his Notre Dame career but both Outside Linebacker positions have been solidified by Prince Shembo and Danny Spond. Smith will find himself in pass situations and on Special Teams.
