Remember in 2011 when Notre Dame signed three 5-Star defensive end recruits?  One got home sick and transferred to South Florida after being a freshman All American. Plus he currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers. One almost broke Justin Tuck’s career sack record and was one of the reasons for that great 2012 defense. Oh yeah, he currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lastly, one has zero career starts and zero sacks during that time frame. Obviously the three players I am referring to are Aaron Lynch, Stephon Tuitt and Ishaq Williams.

Williams has failed to meet my own and everyone else’s expectations since arriving in South Bend. Now with Prince Shembo gone and Notre Dame switching to a 4-3 defense, it’s time to pay the piper for the Brooklyn native. The worst part is I have been waiting for him to breakout and be a superstar, but it just hasn’t happened.  I haven’t been this disappointed by someone from Lincoln since Jesus Shuttlesworth picked Big State over Tech U.
