 3. Dan Devine

Winning Percentage: .764

National Titles: 1

Bowl Games: 4

Despite being vilified by the movie Rudy, Devine produced an excellent record and 1 national title at Notre Dame. After taking over for Ara Parseghian, the Irish won  the National Title in his third year. The Irish crushed an undefeated Texas team in the Cotton Bowl Classic to seal their 10th overall National Title. Devine led Notre Dame to 3 bowl game victories (Gator, Cotton, Cotton). Under Devine, Notre Dame finished in the Top 10 3 times. Devine never coached again after his tenure at Notre Dame. Devine also coached Missouri and Arizona State at the collegiate level. He led those two programs to 93-38-7 and 27-3-1 records respectively.
