NEW: Notre Dame has reentered the mix for Tight End Alize Jones. Jones plans on visiting Notre Dame on December 12th for the football banquet.

Jones committed to UCLA on November 24th of last year. He has maintained his commitment despite his interest in Notre Dame. Jones visited South Bend unofficially on September 6th for the matchup between Notre Dame and Michigan.

Jones checks in at 6’4″ 225 lbs. All recruiting services project him at Tight End. However, his frame and athleticism indicate that Jones may be able to play Wide Receiver in the same vein as Michigan Wide Receiver Devin Funchess. Regardless, he projects to be a devastating red zone threat in college.

UCLA is still favored by experts. However, his recruitment is trending in the direction of Notre Dame.
