Small frontcourts to do battle

Neither team has substantial size in their frontcourt, so the Irish shouldn’t have too many matchup problems there. The Huskies leading scorer, Scott Eatherton (14.6 PPG) could be a battle on the inside for Zach Auguste. But after going toe-to-toe with Duke’s Jahlil Okafor, followed by the Tar Heels frontcourt, he should be more than prepared.

Freshman Bonzie Colson, while only 6-5, plays much bigger with his long wingspan–and has been a spark off the bench for the Irish. The Huskies other “big man”, is a similar size to Pat Connaughton, who has played undersized all year, but done it well.

The 6-8 Quincy Ford will have the height advantage on Connaughton, but don’t look for that to be an area of concern for coach Mike Brey as Connaughton led the team in rebounds with 7.4 per game while playing in the tough ACC.
