Notre Dame Basketball: Can They Beat the Kentucky Wildcats?
Brey may need to go deeper into the bench

For the majority of this season, coach Brey hasn’t played much more than seven deep. Martinas Gebhard saw some time before Bonzie Colson emerged as a solid reserve. and early on Austin Torres and Austin Burgett saw some minutes early in the year.
Since then, it’s been Colson and V.J. Beachem, with the starters going for most of the available minutes. even Beachem who has been key in several games has seen less minutes throughout the tournament. Nut Kentucky plays with high intensity the whole game. So the question for Brey will be does he play guys who haven’t seen many minutes to keep his team fresh? Or does he go with what got them here and hope they have enough?
He’s likely to use the bench a little more, but not much. Torres may see some minutes due to Kentucky’s size, possibly to just have someone inside to create havoc. Torres plays with fire, and Brey could simply ask him to give everything he has for 10-12 minutes.
