Despite only being a rising Junior, Gibbons already holds several offers. He has received offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, South Florida and West Virginia.
Gibbon remains unranked among most of the top recruiting services. Based on his offers, he is a big-time prospect in the 2017 class.
Notre Dame Offensive Line Coach Harry Hiestand has dominated Offensive Line recruiting since arriving in South Bend in 2012. Heistand has landed great prospects in each recruiting class. In the 2013 class, Notre Dame signed Hunter Bivin, Steve Elmer, Mike McGlinchey, Colin McGovern and John Montelus. The Irish inked Alex Bars, Jimmy Byrne, Sam Mustipher and Quenton Nelson in the class of 2014. This past February, Notre Dame landed Tristen Hoge and Trevor Ruhland.
The Irish Coaching Staff and Coach Hiestand already hold a commitment from Cincinnati Elder Tommy Kraemer, one of the best Offensive Linemen in the country. Notre Dame is close to landing Cleveland St. Ignatius Offensive Linemen Liam Eichenberg, another top Offensive Linemen.
If the Irish eventually add Dillan Gibbons to the roster, it will only be another great prospect to play Offensive Line under Hiestand at Notre Dame.
