The current Notre Dame roster features five players from the great state of Illinois. These seven players are Long Snapper Scott Daly, Defensive Linemen Micah Dew-Treadway, Offensive Linemen Colin McGovern, Linebacker Nyles Morgan, Offensive Linemen Trevor Ruhland, Wide Receiver Miles Boykin and Tight Nic Weishar.
Nile Sykes originally signed with Notre Dame in 2014. However, Sykes was ineligible to enroll at Notre Dame. He transferred to Indiana prior to the 2014 season where he redshirted.
DaVaris Daniels, Tommy Rees and Christian Lombard all signed under the Brian Kelly regime. All three players had excellent Notre Dame careers.
The Notre Dame Coaching Staff currently holds commitments from two prospect from Illinois. Long snapper John Shannon and Defensive Back Julian Love are currently on Notre Dame’s commitment list.
