Justin Brent, Sheldon Day, Nick Martin, Jaylon Smith, Drue Tranquill, John Turner, Asmar Bilal, Brandon Tiassum, Mykelti Williams and Josh Barajas are all on the 2015 Notre Dame roster. Seven of the ten prospects hails from the Hoosier state’s capital, Indianapolis.
Notre Dame’s highest ranked Hoosier state recruit was 5-star Quarterback Gunner Kiel. Rivals ranked Kiel as the top Quarterback and 20th best prospect overall.
Former in-state recruits Defensive Linemen Tony Springmann and Wide Receiver Daniel Smith contributed to Notre Dame’s success in 2012 before suffering injuries that effectively ended their careers.
