Brian Kelly discussed Team 127 on Thursday

Before heading to Culver Academy for the first few days of camp, 6th-year Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly met with members of the media on Thursday. Kelly said that the team is “the deepest” group of players. However, he reminded the members in attendance that talent does not always win games.

Ishaq Williams and KeiVarae Russell Need To Be Cleared By NCAA

Ishaq Williams will not practice until he is cleared by the NCAA. Brian Kelly offered, “That process is still on going.” Kelly did not offer a timetable but said that this will not be a long process. KeiVarae Russell also needs to be cleared by the NCAA but will be allowed to practice with the team.

The No. 2 Quarterback

DeShone Kizer and Brandon Wimbush received praise from Head Coach Brian Kelly on Thursday. Kelly claimed that both Quarterbacks are capable of being the backup to Malik Zaire. What will separate them is their ability to run the Offense as ‘Field Generals’.
