Notre Dame Football: Top 5 Impact Freshman

Notre Dame Football: Impact Freshman #5 – WR Equanimeous St. Brown
Equaniemous St. Brown may be the biggest surprise of fall camp. From Day One, he has shown elite speed to go along with great size. Fans, and even the coaches, believe that St. Brown’s ability was similar to Corey Robinson who runs precise routes and has an excellent catch radius. All were pleasantly surprised when St. Brown began to run past defenders with ease in one-on-ones. Everyone, except Notre Dame Defensive Coordinator Brian VanGorder.
The sky is the limit for St. Brown. He needs to fill out his large frame before really becoming an elite receiver. However, with his size and speed, he could be a first round NFL Draft Pick in the near future. St. Brown must first show that he can do the same things in practice in the games.
Right now, St. Brown is behind several talented Wide Receivers including Will Fuller, Chris Brown and Corey Robinson. However, his elite skill set demands that he see the field at least 10 snaps per game. 10 snaps may be difficult. All three outside receivers ahead of him also demand the lion’s share of the playing time. St. Brown will see the field enough to make a Freshman Chris Brown 50-yard reception type of impact for the 2015 Notre Dame Football team.
