Last week, Virginia was the victim of the rise of an apparent star quarterback in Josh Rosen from UCLA. Late in the fourth quarter, once the Bruins finished their thrashing of the Cavaliers, Matt Johns hit running back Taquan Mizzell for a score, which really had no effect on the game other than making it look closer than it actually was. Let’s keep that in mind when assessing what Notre Dame is up against Saturday. Point is, they’re not that good.
Head coach Mike London is on the hot seat after several disappointing season at Virginia. The highlight of his coaching tenure is the 2011 season when Virginia went 8-4 and played Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. But besides that season, things haven’t been to good for the Cavaliers. In his six seasons, London has only accumulated a 23-39 record. It’s probably safe to say that this could be his last season if it ends in another losing season.
Here is a break down of the Virginia Cavaliers Offense.
