12. Equanimeous St. Brown, Notre Dame WR
Biographical Information: Freshman wide receiver from Anaheim, California. 4-star prospect and Under Armour All-American in 2015. Father was a two-time Mr. Universe and three-time Mr. World in weight-lifting. Parents are Miriam and John Brown.
Fun Fact from Official Team Bio: Full name is Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown
Why I love the name: The inspiration for this study, Equanimeous comes from a long line of ridiculous names and backgrounds. His dad is a former bodybuilder, and named his other sons Osiris (2017 WR recruit) and Amon-Ra (2018 WR recruit). Equanimeous is fluent in three languages (English, German, French) and his name is based on a character in his father’s college friend’s book. His last name comes from his father, John Brown, who decided that the family’s last name wasn’t exciting enough, tacking “St.” on the beginning of it for good measure. This description, unlike most others in this list, is completely factual, and I can’t wait for Equanimeous to have his name called over the loudspeakers on football Saturdays at Notre Dame Stadium.
