Biographical Information: Redshirt freshman safety from Bethesda, Maryland. 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. Went to a high school named after Chevy Chase. No parents’ names listed.
Fun Fact from Official Team Bio: “2014: Redshirted.” Besides his profile information (name, position, height, weight, hometown, high school), this is all his bio has to offer the world.
Why I love the name: This looks like when you take all your Scrabble pieces and try to create new, nonexistent words out of them. My little brother does this all the time, would find this name exceptional, and inexplicably manage to play it on a triple word score and attempt to rationalize it while the rest of the family challenges the fact that it’s a word, pulling out dictionaries to prove him wrong. He’d probably explain “Jamshyer” by saying that there are people who are very shy about jamming a basketball, and then there are people who are even shier about it. Those people are “jamshyer.”
Then he would be asked to remove his pieces from the board and try again, because my family does not trifle with games of Scrabble and we will not sit idly by and watch him sully the integrity of the game.
