22. Forrest Lamp, Western Kentucky OL

Biographical Information: Redshirt junior offensive lineman from Venice, Florida. Has had a very successful career thus far, including being named to the 2013 Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference Team, 2014 Honorable Mention All-Conference USA Team, 2014 Third Team All-Conference USA Team (Phil Steele), and the 2015 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List. Parents’ names not listed.

Fun Fact from Official Team Bio: Was a 2-star recruit coming out of high school, meaning if he even got playing time during his 4-year career he would be considered successful. Forrest Lamp has exceeded all expectations

Why I love the name: Distant cousin of Forrest Gump, but brighter*, this is a simple, lovable name that, combined with his humble 2-star background, makes you want to root for him. Between the inevitable Forrest Gump jokes and the “I love lamp” quotes, I’m sure Lamp has a penchant for pancaking anyone who rubs** him the wrong way, and that’s shown in what he has accomplished thus far in his career at WKU.

I really love this name, and I’m not just looking at names on my screen and saying I love them. I love Lamp. I love Lamp!

*Please unceremoniously boo me for this awful play on words

**Aladdin magic lamp pun not intended
