Ross Browner could have arguably been number one on this list. His credentials are quite amazing. Browner was a consensus All-American in 1976 and 1977. He was a four year starter and won national championships with Notre Dame in 1973 and 1977. Browner won the 1976 Outland Trophy and the 1977 Lombardi Award. He also won the 1977 Maxwell Award and placed 5th in the Heisman.
