Duke’s Brandon Ingram is a highly touted 6’ 9” freshman that is just getting his legs under him. Coming off a high school career in which he was named a McDonald’s All American, Ingram now looks to make the transition as part of a talented but untested Duke Squad. After struggling with teams that have size and athleticism of which he’s never seen before (Kentucky and Georgetown), he’s turned around to play much better against Indiana and Buffalo. He’s only averaging 14 points and 5 boards a game, but his confidence is growing, his true shooting percentage is up to 53 percent. The sky may be the limit for the Blue Devil’s small forward. I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if Brandon Ingram ended up one of the best players in the NCAA by the time the ACC Tournament rolls around.

Duke will have a target on their back as they make their way through their ACC slate of games, as they do so often. Their success is partly on how quickly Ingram develops, but the roster is still stacked with Talent that was part of a team that won the National Championship last year. If the young talent pans out and Grayson Allen leads the team, the Blue Devils should find themselves in the discussion for another top seed this year.
