Louisville’s 6’ 6” wing Damion Lee transferred in from Drexel, and has been dominant on the court so far this season for the Cardinals. Averaging 19 points and four rebounds, Lee looked good even in a loss to the top-ranked Michigan State Spartans. He’s shooting 53 percent from the floor, and his efficiency translates to an outstanding 66 percent true shooting percentage. Lee is + 15 up to this point in the season, and he is shooting 38 percent from three point land. He’s also adding two assists and two steals per game; he’s a pretty darn good all-around player.

After putting up great averages during his time at Drexel, some wondered if Lee would continue to play as well matched up against better competition in the ACC. Time will tell, but Lee will have his shot. Louisville goes to Kentucky for the annual rivalry matchup before the ACC slate starts, and they get Virginia and Duke twice this year. They do get North Carolina at home, however, but go to Miami in February. Louisville also goes to Notre Dame in what has become one of the most exciting games year after year in the ACC. If Lee keeps up his current level of play through this slate – and I expect he will – expect all-ACC honors to come his way.
