Quick Facts: V.J. Beachem is a starting wing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, averaging 12.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1 steal per game this season. The junior from Fort Wayne, Indiana also leads the team in three point percentage (45.7%).

Beachem has been one of the more impressive and consistent players this season for ND (on offense), and has clearly been working hard to improve his game beyond just serving as a streaky threat from the outside. This is 100% supported by Beachem’s personal Twitter brand, which he does not uphold with much gusto or intensive tweeting, suggesting he has been spending all of his time on basketball.

Here were a couple things from Beachem’s pTb, however, that I did enjoy:

This first tweet comes from one of V.J.’s friends, who posts a picture of V.J. and D.J. (teammate Demetrius Jackson) at a football game, wearing leis for some reason. However, it is immediately clear that V.J. does not know how to properly wear a lei, opting to place his around his head. He also does not smile for the picture, which is pointed out by his friend, who tells us that he doesn’t like to smile.

So what can we glean from this?

Beachem likes to buck fashion trends and hates to have fun.

And yet, he also gives us this…

Beachem is a fan of the rapper 2 Chainz, as proven by his 2012 exclamation that he was happy some of his followers like 2 Chainz. With no other tweets to show a change of heart, we are forced to assume this tweet still stands, and that Beachem is still a monstrous 2 Chainz fan. Definitely cool to see.
