Notre Dame is not backing down from a good recruit fight.

While the news that Notre Dame Football sent its equipment truck to Savannah Georgia for a little one on one time with five star recruit Demetrius Robertson came as a surprise and awesome shock to Notre Dame and college football fans, it really should have been expected that Notre Dame would send the now awesomely famous semi truck to another five star recruit in the deep south.

That five star is Gordo Alabama native, Ben Davis- and Mr. Davis is a phenom at linebacker.

Ben Davis has a long list of suitors but if there were a magical top 3 right now, it may be Alabama, Georgia, and Notre Dame. Davis is set to visit Auburn this weekend, and Notre Dame (fresh off its in-home visit to Ben Davis) must have wanted the recruit know that they are always thinking of him and want to show him “the love” they sent Robertson’s way.

While Davis says he doesn’t have a leader, he will decide on signing day and as of right now, many consider him to be Alabama’s to lose. His father was an all world linebacker at Alabama and the legacy pull is a strong one as we see every year with top recruits who had a father play at a certain school. Still, it doesn’t always work out that way as Irish fans have seen their own legacies head to different schools.

What may be as equally important (albeit a bit of a stretch) is that Notre Dame is battling with the SEC and is holding its own for a blue-chip defensive player in SEC country. Brian Kelly and his staff won’t back down, and they are willing to pull out all of the stops (minus fueling up with diesel) to try and win these recruits signatures.
