#7 Michigan

  • 4 Players
  • Average Star Rating: 3.75
  • Biggest Loss: Jhonathon Williams DE
  • Top Newcomer: Daelin Hayes LB

Although Michigan does produce a fair amount of FBS talent, it has never been a pipeline state for Notre Dame. While Charlie Weis left the state virtually untouched, Brian Kelly coached at Central Michigan and has developed relationships across the state with the high school coaches and the communities. It’s tough recruiting for the Irish as they must face two Big 10 schools in state, as well as the rest of the conference including Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

Three players were added this year from Michigan and two of them wee highly rated defensive players. At this rate, Michigan could make a serious push for a top 4 spot in a year or two. Given the amount of talent in the Detroit area, this could work out quite well for Notre Dame.
