Band Marching Into the Stadium

One of the truly great sights to witness at Notre Dame for a game in the fall, is the band marching across the campus and into the stadium. The Irish Guard lead the charge, and the same type of two line wall that develops for the players walk, is there for the band. The climax comes right before they enter the stadium under the ever watchful eye of Touchdown Jesus. They all line up, get that chanting on- and then BAM… away we go.

There are two different ways to see this event. One, you can be outside the stadium and dwell among the band, or you can watch it from one of the landings inside the stadium for an eagle eye view. Either way, it’s another “war-like” pomp and circumstance moment that gets everyone pumped and ready for battle.
