Road Game

Traveling for a college football game is typically a fun experience, regardless of the team that you follow. There are new campuses, new college towns, and new bars and restaurants to try out. The opportunity to learn about and experience other schools’ traditions is always pretty cool, too. When it comes to the schedule, Notre Dame plays at some of the best colleges a fan could visit. From modern, high tech and electric venues such as Clemson, to the most traditionally iconic arenas such as USC, Texas, and in the future Ohio State and Georgia, just to name a few.

There is another aspect to Notre Dame’s schedule that makes an away game an absolute must on any fan’s bucket list. As a result of its’ early independence, Notre Dame was forced to play a national schedule, traveling to and building rivalries with schools all across the country. Fans get the opportunity to see other regions of the country, check out some pretty cool college campuses outside of whatever region they are from. Need an excuse to fly to LA? Go when Notre Dame visits the Trojans. What about Palo Alto, Tallahassee or Austin? Chances are, you won’t be the only fan donning blue and gold on game day when the Irish play the likes of Stanford, Florida State or Texas. Or anyone else on the schedule, for that matter.
