Notre Dame VS Miami Is Not Catholics VS Convicts II

Yep… Lots of hype here. Sure, Notre Dame and Miami have played twice since the series ended after the 1990 game, and both of those games have been with Brian Kelly at the helm, but this will be Miami’s first trip back to Notre Dame since they lost to the Irish in 1990 and 1988 (just to pile it on).

Speaking of piling it on… those last two meetings? Notre Dame beat Miami with a combined score of 79-20.

You may have the inclination to start hyping this game up as the next “Catholics VS Convicts,” but please don’t. You would be doing an injustice to both the game this year, and those battles of yesteryear. Notre Dame and Miami will not both be ranked in the top five when this game is played, and there is no brewing hatred on both sides.

This is just another game in the ACC agreement, and we can only hope that this will count as a quality opponent.
