Notre Dame will have the best quarterback on the field- no matter what.

One of the most important stats for Notre Dame to look over before the 2016 season begins has to do with the quarterbacks. No, it isn’t a comparison of Malik Zaire and DeShone Kizer, it’s who is on the other side of the field.

Three of Notre Dame’s biggest opponents will be playing the 2016 season with new starting quarterbacks. USC lost Cody Kessler, Michigan State lost Conner Cook, and Stanford lost Kevin Hogan. Quite a few other teams on the schedule will also be starting a new name at quarterback.

Only the Miami Hurricanes and Brad Kaaya have anything comparable to Notre Dame.

In fact, it doesn’t even matter if Notre Dame starts Kizer or Zaire, they will most likely have the best quarterback on the field. Hell, in most of those cases, I would bet that Notre Dame would still have a better quarterback than their opponent even if the starter for the Irish was Brandon Whimbush.

In a game where so much hinges on one position, Notre Dame holds the biggest advantage all season long.
