Notre Dame plays three neutral site games in 2016.

Notre Dame is playing with fire with this schedule. Of the five games away from home, more than half are at neutral fields. The three games are Army in San Antonio, Syracuse at the Meadowlands, and Navy in Jacksonville.

Both the Navy game and the Syracuse game are “road” games that the opponent wanted at a neutral site, but when it is all said and done, both of those games will have a Notre Dame fan majority.

From a perception standpoint, it doesn’t look too good. Two of the teams are service academies (no matter what, you will never be able to sell that Navy is an extrememly tough out). So basically, we are talking about the possibility of this schedule being called Cupcake Lane.
