Notre Dame and Texas moved the date of the game.

This, of course was announced just a few weeks ago, and then just recently, Notre Dame cemented it when it announced its 2016 schedule and home kickoff times.

There are several levels of importance here- not the least of which is the mad scramble Notre Dame fans will have to make with their travel plans. Flights, hotels, dinners, family visits, and parole violations will all have to be altered.

And just so we get this out of the way as obvious as it may be… I would give this game a 99% chance of being a night game. The game was moved because there are quite a few high profile games on Saturday, and the Sunday matchup would put Notre Dame and Texas on the platform all by themselves- so of course there is no better way than prime time.
