What Is Your Worst Notre Dame Memory?

What Notre Dame memory still gives you nightmares?

During the offseason we do a lot of chest-beating here on the internet. We miss college football and to help ease the pain until that first kickoff, we like to talk about the AWESOME times, the great wins, the fantastic players, and anything that makes us feel good.

There is that other segment of fans that like to dwell on some of the more horrible aspects- and that’s what we are doing here today. Hell, we might even expand this into a month of OH WHAT THE CRAP IS THAT?! This isn’t an exercise in being mean-spirited, it’s an exercise in exorcising the demons.

So, what is your worst Notre Dame memory? What game made you puke? What play made you punch a hole in your living room wall? What penalty sent you into such a rage that your neighbors still refer to it as “that weird day when Joe got naked,” when they speak to among themselves?

I really, really want to know. There is a comment section below (if you didn’t know) and it’s a little dusty. Thousands of people come here each day, and only a few ever leave a comment. Is your Notre Dame nightmare actually reading my articles? (Don’t answer that). Seriously though, I would love to hear your answers here because there is no wrong answer. Maybe you need this therapy- GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST MAN AND/OR LADY!

It can be ANYTHING related to the program. Maybe it’s a recruiting battle that Notre Dame lost (which would be kind of weird), maybe it’s a bowl game performance, or maybe it was that close loss, or a bad call- WHAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND MADE YOU CRY ON THE FRONT PORCH OF YOUR EX-GIRLFRIENDS HOUSE WHILE DRUNK FROM TOO MUCH BOONE’S FARM?

Off the top of my head, I can already name like 20 moments that still haunt me (yes, be prepared for a top 25 nightmare moments post). Obviously the Bush Push, the 2012 Title game, the Navy loss in 2007, Boston College in [insert whatever year BC made their season by beating Notre Dame like 1993], Little Giants bullcrap play WITH NO TIME LEFT ON THE PLAY CALL… you get the idea.

So, get in here and drop a note about the worst- THE ABSOLUTE WORST Notre Dame memory, and maybe we can all group hug this thing out and move on.
