Demetrius Jackson has a fit with a number of NBA teams.

For the second straight year Notre Dame fans have a rooting interest in the NBA Draft. Last season Irish fans saw Jerian Grant get selected in the first round by the New York Knicks, and Pat Connaughton in the second round by the Brooklyn Nets. This season it’s more than likely that guard, Demetrius Jackson will be a first round, top-15 pick. Assuming he’s picked in the first round it’ll be the first time Notre Dame will have back-to-back years of first round picks since Troy Murphy and Ryan Humphrey were drafted in 2001 and 2002.

After leading the Irish to a second straight Elite Eight run Jackson is one of the hottest commodities in the draft. In the tournament he averaged 17.7 points, 3.5 assists and shot 52% from the field. For the season Jackson averaged 15.8 points and 4.7 assists His 2015 performance was good enough to land him second team All-ACC accolades. He’s arguably the most talented player to come through Notre Dame in the Mike Brey era. Jackson is one of the best point guards in the draft and will have the opportunity to make an instant impact with whatever team he lands with.
