Indiana Pacers – No. 20 Pick

20. player. 100. . Guard. Notre Dame. Demetrius Jackson

I know a lot of friends of mine would be ecstatic about Jackson going to the the Pacers. Indiana already has some nice pieces in place with the likes of Paul George, Monta Ellis and Myles Turner, but the one thing they are lacking is a point guard. George Hill has been the Pacers starting point guard for the past four seasons now, and it’s safe to say that championships aren’t going to be won with him running the offense. Hill is a nice player, but there is much more potential with Jackson.

The Pacers would be an excellent fit for Jackson. It would give him the opportunity to stay close to home and at the same time play for what should be a competitive team for years to come. If he does get drafted by the Pacers I’d imagine that he’d have the opportunity to play right away.

The Pacers squeaked into the playoffs this past season as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. Indiana did just hire a new head coach in Nate McMillan after deciding not to retain longtime coach Frank Vogel.
