Phoenix Suns – No. 13 Pick

66. . Guard. Notre Dame. Demetrius Jackson. 13. player

Now a few things would need to happen for this to be a good fit for Jackson. Phoenix would need to make some room for Jackson. The Suns already have point guard Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe is very talented and athletically gifted player, and could potentially bring back some good players.

I’m thinking that the Suns could trade Bledsoe for pieces they need elsewhere, a big man preferably, then draft Jackson to be their point guard of the future. Bledsoe is making $13 million a year, so Jackson would be a considerably cheaper player. Bledsoe is a player that I’ve seen some compare Jackson to.

Now if that happened, then this would be a good fit. Jackson and Devin Booker would form a very good backcourt tandem. Booker averaged 19.8 points per game this past season in his rookie year.

Phoenix could also trade Brandon Knight instead of Bledsoe. This would then mean that Jackson would be Bledsoe’s backup. Bledsoe is still only 26 and has three years left on his contract, so if this option happened Jackson would be behind Bledsoe for a few years.

The possibility of all of this happening is probably slim though.
