The Redskins are getting closer and closer to becoming a real threat in the NFL each season, and with a chance to improve their defense in a BIG way, they’ll draft Takkarist McKinley.

McKinley is one of the most powerful edge rusher in this year’s draft. His huge frame and ability to overpower most tackles gives him the ability to play defensive end in a 4-3 or an outside linebacker in a 3-4.

What makes McKinley one of the most interesting players in this year’s class is his ability to use his hands. You rarely see college level players use their hands to get through offensive linemen. McKinley is one of the select few who already has this concept down, making him ahead of most other edge rushers in the eyes of NFL scouts.

You won’t see the greatest athleticism or quickness from McKinley. His game doesn’t revolve much around his speed, and it’ll need to be a focus point once he’s draft. His strength and skill still put him ahead of most other pass rushers in this draft, and the Redskins are going to get a great addition to their already impressive defense.
