DeShone Kizer. 2. player. 42. . Quarterback. Notre Dame

There are some questions as to if DeShone Kizer is actually ready for the NFL. But when it comes to the 49ers, they don’t have much of a choice. They need so many surrounding roles filed that they could draft almost anyone in any position, but passing on a chance for a franchise quarterback wouldn’t be worth it.

With Chip Kelly gone, it’s a guessing game as to whether or not Colin Kaepernick will return to the 49ers next year. Chances are his time in San Francisco is over, and they’re looking for a new play caller to build around. For a growing team, drafting a quarterback who has some growing to do isn’t a bad idea.

With Kizer’s ability to throw, his arm strength as well as the speed he possesses, he could become very dangerous if the 49ers decide to put him under center. With a franchise rebuilding as much as the 49ers, it makes sense to grab your young QB now so that he can be molded into a trusted leader to be built around.
