Notre Dame Football Lands 3rd Commit In Last 48 Hours – OT Cole Mabry
Notre Dame’s coaching staff is on a serious roll in the recruiting department.
Notre Dame received commitments from two top-100 defensive backs yesterday.
Today, recruiting momentum continued as offensive tackle Cole Mabry from Brentwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Mabry was on campus for a visit and to meet Harry Heistand with several other Notre Dame recruits on the weekend.

Cole Mabry has a strong relationship with offensive coordinator Chip Long since when he was on staff at Memphis. Speculation on this recruitment is that Long presented his film and info to Harry Heistand which sparked an invite to Junior Day.
After Heistand met Mabry, he received an offer. This shows things must have gone well between them as Heistand doesn’t dole out a lot of offers to offensive lineman. He’s careful in choosing who he wants to be a part of his impressive offensive line.
This commitment brings Notre Dame’s total recruit count to 9 for the class of 2018. Mabry is the first offensive line commit and third offensive recruit in the class. He will join elite quarterback Phil Jurkovec and powerful running back Markese Stepp as members of the ’18 offensive class.
