Dax Hollifield is arguably the most eye-popping talent in this list on tape.

He shows an uncanny ability to read the backfield, get to the ball then deliver a nasty hit.

He’s one of the hottest recruit on the scene right now, and rightfully so. In my opinion, he’s the most talented linebacker in the country from the class of ’18.

Like Gant, regardless of the board, Notre Dame would take his commitment in a heart beat. He’s just that good.

Hollifield travels the country with his father to make stops at many universities in an attempt to discover which program suits him best.

I spoke with him and he told me that his father, who played football at Wake Forest, enjoyed the visit to Notre Dame the most, even though it was for a deflating loss to the Navy Midshipmen.

Hollifield will release a list when things settle down a bit. He has receives loads of offers since he released his Junior Hudl film.

Notre Dame has a shot with him as he has had a relationship with Mike Elko and Clark Lea since they were on staff at Wake Forest among many other factors. I think Notre Dame has a legitimate shot and will work hard at getting him on campus for an official visit and a game this year with his dad.
